A retired elementary educator and based in Fort Worth, Texas, Viveca is enjoying her encore career as a business owner and designer. Suzy Logan is a talented graphic designer and creative entrepreneur with a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from the University of South Carolina. She began her career at a small advertising agency before transitioning to her family business. After becoming a mother in 1999, Suzy balanced family life while engaging in creative projects with her children. A life-changing ankle injury in 2018 reignited her passion for art, leading her to create pet portraits and landscape paintings. In 2022, she entered surface pattern design, selling her work on Spoonflower. Currently enrolled in Carina Gardner’s Design Suite Program since March 2024, Suzy is focused on building her creative business and has found support in the artist community.

Kehler is a pattern designer, costume designer and educator located in Dayton, OH. She received a Bachelor of Arts from Denison University and Master of Fine Arts in Costume Design and Technology from University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She served as the Assistant Costume Director and Draper for Baltimore Center Stage for two years. She was a Lecturer and Costumer for the University of Dayton for five years. She was the Resident Costume Designer for the British National Theatre of America and a Costume Technician for The Beatles' LOVE by Cirque du Soleil for five years. She was the resident costume designer for Fort Peck Summer Theatre in Montana for three years. She continues to design regularly for university and professional productions while managing her pattern business.

A lifelong crafter and designer, Emily’s earliest memories are the creative ones. From learning to crochet with her grandmother, to sewing and smocking with her aunt, all while being encouraged to create and design by her mother, a former art teacher. Emily’s entrepreneurial spirit emerged early when she spun scraps of her mom’s watercolored paper into decoupaged jewelry and sold her wares during the neighborhood garage sale. No lemonade stands for this entrepreneurial artist. For almost 15 years now, Emily has worked in clients’ homes doing kitchen and bathroom renovations. When the early days of the pandemic caused a work pause, she pivoted to personalizing over 2,500 masks with her Cricut, many using her own SVG designs. Now she continues to enjoy designing SVGs for crafters available in her Etsy shop (HarperNCoDesigns).Emily Harper Fish is the owner and designer behind HarperNCo. In this step-by-step tutorial, I’ll walk you through how to create a beautiful Damask Vase with Roses using my custom designed SVG cut file. You’ll learn how to assemble the piece from start to finish, with clear guidance to help you bring this timeless, decorative vase to life.

Christine has been creating since she was five years old. Art has always been her passion and love. Her grandparents encouraged her creativity with books and traveling to New York to see Broadway plays. She has been painting in acrylics and watercolors for most of her adult life and through the years has experimented with many crafting
techniques. Recently her painting has evolved into using oil paints and she also fell in love with cutting glass to be used in mosaic layouts. Early in 2024 her brother passed away and his death rocked her work. Taking a leap of faith in December 2024 she quit the day job and decided to venture out on her own and sell her paintings and designs. This next chapter includes more mixed media art and more classes to become a Entrepreneur selling her art through various platforms. What she really wants to acknowledge is that life is short, do the things you’ve hoped to do. Don't put off tomorrow what you can do today, even if it’s just making the plan to do the thing you desire to do.

She has been enrolled in Carina Gardner’s Design Suite course since June 2024, a journey that has revitalized her passion for art and design. As an artist and designer who attended the local college in her hometown and received a fine art degree and a degree in graphic communication in the early 2000s, Cheryl found herself rekindling her love for art after a prolonged hiatus. She is a mixed-media artist who has discovered how to incorporate mindfulness into her creative process. Cheryl has discovered the profound impact of art in healing and uniting creative individuals. Her mission is to create, share, and inspire through her work as an artist and designer. Since June 2024, Cheryl has been taking courses at Design Suite to learn how to open and run a business and improve her design skills. Subsequently, she has opened an Etsy shop that focuses on creating printable backgrounds for Artist Trading Cards, providing unique designs for all types of paper crafters to add to their artistic visions.
